Can I file a claim on my homeowners insurance?

We can help you make that determination! Stauter Contracting is insurance restoration experts. We will walk you through the process step by step. You are only responsible for your deductible and picking out shingle color, it’s that simple!

Why does one side of my roof wear faster?

The southern slope of a roof will typically wear faster than the other roof slopes as it receives the most sun exposure. Over the life of a roof system UV rays will slowly break down the roofing material. Improper attic ventilation will also hasten the deterioration as well.

What is the normal life expectancy for a roof ?

The product of choice will determine a roof life expectancy. Most manufactures offer a 15-25 year product warranty. Stauter Contracting’s experts will walk you through the technical and warranty data.

What warranty is offered?

Typically, our roof warranty length is at least a five year workmanship warranty against leakage on all new roofs unless an upgraded warranty has been selected. Repairs, typically one year.

Is a down payment required?

Not always, repair work is payable in full at time of repair completion and no down payment is required. New roofs require a down payment of 50% for acquisition of materials.

Do you offer Financing?

Yes, Stauter Contracting is partnered with Alabama Power Smart Financing. You do not have to be an Alabama Power customer to take advantage of this service. The minimum amount that can be financed is $2000 and terms vary from 5-7 years with no prepayment penalty.

Will you do a small roof repair?

We have a $150.00 minimum for a small roof repair. We do all types of repairs and maintenance on roofs of any substrate.

What about roof repair clean up?

After a roof repair, clean up is done by Stauter Contracting making sure there are no bits and pieces that could cause harm to you or your property. Our crews clean up during and after each job and haul away all debris.

Can you install a roof attic ventilation fan?

We recommend ridge venting if possible. A roof attic ventilation fan can be installed there are several to choose from a no maintenance self operational, electric or solar.

Do you install skylights?

Yes, you pick them out and we will install them. The best time for a roof skylight installation is during the installation of your new roof.
